Edward Lee Allen died of cancer on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at his home.  He was 83 years old.

He was married to Vondell (Vonnie) on September 26, 1959. They had 2 children, Edward Jeffrey (Cheri) and Vickie Jo Martin (D.J.). He leaves behind his wife, two children, 3 grandchildren; Adam Heit (Hazel), Jason Martin (Noelle), Alecia Beaver (Levi). 5 great-grandchildren; Kinsley, Zayden, Brody, Braden, and Camden.

Ed was a 1950’s kind of guy through and through.  He believed in the commitment of a hand shake, the power of a hug, the honor of his country, the sanctity of marriage and family, the honesty of a good word, the beauty of a pretty smile and just being real without fakeness or jealousy.

He loved the freedom and happiness of children and the kiss of a loving dog.

Most of all…he loved his family.

He was quirky, odd, funny, cranky, helpful, painfully honest and often gruff to a fault.  But he loved and he was loved.

He will be missed very much.

I love you Dad, Momma.
