Donna Lucille Brekke Ritchy Anderson Adams
With a heavy heart we announce that Donna Lucille Brekke Ritchy Anderson Adams passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the hospice house in Billings, MT, ending her short battle with cancer. Feisty until her last breath, she still tried to put loved ones before herself during her sudden illness.
She was born in Fergus Falls, MN, on July 3, 1941. Daughter of Harold and Lucille Brekke, she was preceded in death by her mother Lucille, brothers Richie and Alan, sister Maybeth in a tragic fire when she was only six years old. Later, her beloved brother Karry aka James Karry, brother Wes, father Harold, along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.
She is survived by her children Amy Rott-Woods (Anderson), Angie Lynch (Anderson), Jana Brown (Ritchy), Jon Ritchy, and Darcy Purvis (Ritchy); grandchildren Parker and Peyton Rott; Brittany Hills (Brown) and Alexia Brown; Peter and Payton Ritchy and great granddaughter Sofia Hills and numerous other family members and friends. At the family’s request no services were planned.
Affectionately called Mommy Lou, she was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. An avid sports fanatic, she loved football the most and the Denver Broncos the very most. She always had a Broncos themed room or furniture, and personalized license plates supporting her favorite team. She loved her summers with Amy and Angie at Daisy Bay Landing Resort in Minnesota, her time in the Crazy Mountains during her fly fishing days, driving her 65 Mustang, dancing at Darren and Angie’s wedding, taking trips with Amy and her boys, her retirement allowing her to spend quality time with Parker and Peyton, and she loved watching Hallmark movies especially during Christmas time. But most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter. A kind soul has been claimed and an angel watches over us. Love and Blessings Mommy Lou, we love you!
