Earl “Bud” Beck was born on August 23, 1946 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Earl and Magdeline Beck (both deceased.) Bud passed away from cancer on July 18, 2017. He grew up in Forsyth, Montana, and graduated from high school in 1964. He continued his education at Eastern Montana College where he met the love of his life, Jackie Bair. He was one of five siblings—Shirley (deceased), Patricia, Georgette, and Sandy (deceased).
After graduating from Eastern Montana College, he began a teaching/coaching career which lasted 46 years before cancer forced him to retire. Receiving the Gold Star award for teaching and the Montana High School Wrestling Coach of the Year recognition are a testament to his career.
God blessed his life with two wonderful children, Nicole (Brandon Brown) and Ryan (Christy), who continued to be a source of pride and joy in his life. Four grandchildren, Kevin, Rylin, Parker, and Kaden, kept “Papa” on the go have made Bud’s life complete. A celebration of his life will be held at the Shiloh United Methodist Church 1810 Shiloh Road Saturday, July 22, at 3 PM. Grizzly attire will be preferred, and those with cat attire are welcome to in the parking lot.
