Thomas Brennan, 82, passed away at his home in Roberts early Friday morning, March 6th.
He was born in Mullen, NE to Pearl (Sexton) Brennan and Francis Brennan on February 15, 1938. After living many places throughout his young life, he settled down in Roberts, his home for 49 years.
He is survived by his wife Peggy (Moran) Brennan of 58 years; his son Glenn Brennan (Linda); his son Barry Brennan (Jane); his daughter, Clara Brennan; 11 grandchildren – Mackenzie Gordon (Josh); Jackie Brennan; Tom Brennan (Torrie); Micheal Brennan; Savannah Deady (Ryan); Ethan, MacKenzie and Nicklas Measell; Darlene Morrison; Meadow and Virgil Brennan; 12 great grandchildren; three brothers, Dean Brennan; Bill Brennan (Nancy); Jim Brennan (Midge); one sister, Donna Keele (Don); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, George Brennan and sister in law, Lois Brennan.
Tom graduated from Laurel High School in 1957 and attended Montana State College in Bozeman until he was drafted. Serving in the US Army, he was amongst one of the first computer programmers. In his early years after the Army, he worked in construction, carpentry, and mechanics. He met his wife, Peggy and they were married in 1961. He finished out his work career in 2003, retiring after being with the City of Red Lodge for 26 years.
Tom was a brilliant man, he may have been quiet at times, however everyone who knew him knew that he liked to spend most of his free time with family – hiking, camping, hunting, and enjoying the mountains and beautiful Montana scenery. He was liked and respected by many people.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Family Church located at 1002 3rd Ave in Laurel on Saturday, March 14th, at 2 PM.
