Kevin Peter Broberg age 61, passed away suddenly on Sunday January 13, 2019. He was born on July 10, 1957 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota growing up on his family’s farm. Ensuring a lifelong admiration for everything John Deere. A lover of adventure, mountains and the outdoors called him to Montana as a young man. There he married Cheryl Broberg on May 24, 2014 and gained four daughters that he loved as his own; Casie (Charles) Knight of Durham, Christy (Brian) Rand of Billings, Cathy (Miguel) Covarrubias of Cleveland, and Caylee (Ken) Spencer of Billings. He was beloved “Papa” to Cana, Zion, Annabelle, Boden, Molly, Avalon, Peter, and Dean.

Kevin was a simple “no fuss” kind of man, who lived his life, and careers, in service to others.  He deeply loved his family and friends and was the first to lend a helping hand. His church was being outside in “God’s Country”, breathing in the fresh air. Kevin’s passions including camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, and exploring Montana’s trails by ATV.  He was a skilled craftsman, building his own log home where he could be found sitting on the porch or recliner, sipping on a glass of wine, reading a western, holding the hand of his beautiful wife, and his 4-legged children warming his feet.

Kevin lived his life by the famous words of Joel Osteen:

“Your job is to NOT try to make people like you or to change people’s minds about you. Your job is to RUN your race, to be who GOD has called you to be, and NOT worry about the critics and the naysayers.”

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy & Tessie Broberg; brothers, David and Michael Broberg; and numerus beloved Labradors.  Kevin lives on in many hearts and minds.  He is deeply cherished by his wife “Pretty Woman” Cheryl Broberg of 5 short, but very treasured, years; his girls Casie Knight, Christy Rand, Cathy Covarrubias, Caylee Spencer, and Belle; son in-laws Charles, Brian, Miguel, and Ken; his sister Lynette Broberg; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He had a very special and cherished relationship with his cousin Rick Hokenson and his niece Ann Safo, speaking lovingly of their families and all their life’s adventures. Kevin would want everyone who knew him to understand how much you meant to him; not just by his words, but by his actions as well.  He was an amazing husband, friend, and father and will be deeply missed.
