Lillian Rosemary Brown passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Highgate Senior Living at the age of 92.
Lillian was born on September 9, 1923 in Providence Rhode Island to Ella Farrell and William J Dalton. Lillian had an older brother William F Dalton. At the age of 13, Lillian and her brother Bill went to live with their Aunt Lil. Lillian spoke highly of her Aunt Lil and told many stories of their weekend adventures while growing up.
On November 11, 1946, Lillian married Donald Leroy Brown. Together, Don and Lil had three children; Karen Ann Brown, Susan Kay Brown, and Paula Jean Brown.
Lillian’s biggest love was her family. She did everything she could to take care of the treasured people around her. Her door was always open to family, friends and neighbors to offer a helping hand. Lillian had a natural way of making you feel special and well cared for. She could talk for hours and loved visitors who could talk as much as she could. Lillian also had a love for movies, television and shopping. She spent most weekends out shopping with her daughters, attending the Academy Awards nominated films or settling in for the night for her favorite television programs.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, aunt Lil, brother Bill, loving husband Don, and daughter Susan. Lillian is survived by her daughters Karen Brown and Paula Brown; granddaughters Angela (Kevin) Heaney of Billings, and Jodi Sauerbier of Washington; nephews Bill Dalton of Billings, Craig Brown of Colorado; nieces Kathie Lund of Utah, Jeannie Shrewsberry of Washington, and Lynn Dalton of Billings; numerous grandnieces and nephews, Shawn (Tiffany) Dalton, Brandon Dalton, Amanda Anthony, Mart Lefler, Mindy McHenry, Nicole Boyden, Shylo Shrewsberry; and two great grandkids, Karlie and Grady Heaney.
