Edward S. Burg, 92, of Billings passed away Thursday November 24, 2016 at Tender Nest Assisted Living in Billings.
Edward was born December 8, 1923 to Reynold and Anna (Anderson) Burg in Great Falls.
Edward graduated from Great Falls High in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1945, serving in the European Theatre for 2 ½ years and receiving 4 battle stars.
Edward was an avid sports enthusiast, playing baseball for the American Legion and semi-pro baseball in the State League. He coached Senior League baseball for many years.
Edward worked at the ACM Company and spent 29 years in the Great Falls Fire Dept. where he attained the rank of Battalion Chief.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Donna and 5 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son Mark (Judy) Sullivan of Billings, MT, daughter Barbara Brewer of Scottsdale, AZ, son John Burg of Richardson, TX, son Robert Drexel of New Jersey, daughter Karen Iwicki of New Jersey, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We remember him as fearless, with impeccable moral standards and later in life as a sweet, caring, and dedicated father and grandfather.
