Thomas Cantrell, age 66, passed away October 19, 2016 at his home in Billings, Montana.
He was born April 6, 1950 to parents Robert D. and Virginia Ann Cantrell, along with one brother.
Tom graduated from Billings West High.
In May 2008, Thomas married the love of his life, Beth Horn, in Townsend, MT.
He served honorably in the United States Army Reserve for six years.
Tom held several interesting jobs in his lifetime, including loan officer at First Federal Savings & Loan Bank, car sales, stock car driver sponsored by Don Cantrell & Hanser’s Automotive — Ralph Hanser nicknamed Tom “Hot Foot”, card dealer for many years at Reno, Nevada, charter boat owner and captain. He loved his fast jet boat, hunting, and fishing. Everyone that knew him loved him, especially his family and grandchildren. Honest to the core. Tom lived with a competitive, spirited, devil-may-care attitude, always at full throttle, but possessed a great sense of calm where kids felt comfortable with him. We will miss you, Tommy.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Cantrell.
He is survived by loving wife Beth Cantrell; daughter Dee Ann Westfall of Ft. Collins, CO; stepchildren Jacob Ruff and Sandy Calame of Billings, MT, Lora Goldstein of Reading, PA; mother Virginia Cantrell; brother Gary (Patty) Cantrell of Billings, MT; niece Stephanie Wise; nephew Spencer Cantrell; and ten grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held Monday October 24, 2016 5:00-7:00pm at the Squire Lounge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
