Elma Lorraine Williams Davidson

1925 – 2019

Elma Williams was born in Sidney, MT to Leslie & Cleone Williams on April 22, 1925.  On January 13, 2019, Elma entered a peaceful place of rest, with the help of many angels.

She was raised in the Gosset Flats area & educated in the Dean School.  She graduated from Sidney High School and had further education & work in Billings.

Elma met her true love at a Dore Hall dance, near Fairview, MT in 1944.  “Abbie & Ellie” were married on January 27, 1945.

They had five children.  The family lived in Froid, MT for 25 years.  After the children all graduated, Ab & Elma moved to Billings where they built a new home in Emerald Hills.

Elma worked alongside her husband for most of their 73 years together.  She owned & managed the Froid Drug, the Froid Laundromat and the state liquor store. She also did the paperwork for Ab’s construction company.  Later, while in Billings, the two traveled & worked together for Davidson Fiberglass & delivered product for several other companies.

Elma is preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Davidson, her daughter Cynthia Faye, and her sister Olive Kroetch.

She is survived by Brenda Eichele of Billings, Bradley (& Susan) Davidson of Billings; Darcy (& Beverly) Davidson of Portland, OR & Vance (& Diana) Davidson of Marysville, WA.  Her ten grandchildren are Brad & Verlinda Hatmaker; Amy & Angie Davidson; Darcy Jr, Rachel, & Beau Davidson; Shane Davidson, Jessica Gallegos, & Vanessa Guillen. The clan includes 22 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister, Viola (& Joe) Haubrich of Billings.

There will be an open viewing at the Cremation & Funeral Gallery at 29 8th Street W. during the hours of 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 17th.  No services are planned & burial is in Sidney, MT.  A family memorial will be in the summer.
