The kindest man I have ever known passed away peacefully March 27th, 2018.  Paul Joseph DuCharme Jr. tied his last fly and has saddled up for his last ride on his favorite horse.

“Unperturbed by what was going on around him, seemed to have his own clock of time, and a gentle soul.  You’ll be missed.”  Brother Jim.

“I’ll always remember him as a good person and a good brother.  He was a gentle soul, very kindhearted, courageous, calm, patient and Loving.  I love you Paul.  I’ll miss you.”  Sister Cherie.

Paul was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, January 28th, 1944 to Paul J. DuCharme Sr. and Beatrice Miller DuCharme.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Paul went to work for Mobile Oil Company.  In 1973 Paul landed in Billings, Montana.  He hit the ground running and selling real estate, eventually specializing in commercial real estate.  Throughout the years he acquired many close friends and business associates.

Paul was very well respected in the real estate community and will be remembered for his honesty and integrity.  He was a member of the National Association of Realtors 1973-2013, the status of Realtor Emeritus.  He was Realtor of the Year in 1998.  He was MLS Committee Chairperson 1995.  Paul was recognized for his Professionalism and Leadership in Commercial Real Estate 1987.  Paul was also a 31 year member of the Downtown Rotary Club

Fly fishing was one of Paul’s passions in life.  His other great passion was having horses, a variety of dogs and cats and his parrot, Alex.  He truly loved and cared for all animals.  His sister often said she wanted to be one of his animals in her next life.

DuCharme, sister, Cherie Ann DuCharme (Jim Sheppard); children, Frances DuCharme (Philip Harrison), David DuCharme (Heather), Ryan S. Austin (Katharine), Kasey K.
