KARA L. EVANS
Ma was born June 2, 1954 in Miles City, Montana to Glenn and Patricia Clayton. She was welcomed to the world by her older sister Glenda, and joined 6 years later by another sister, Robin. The family relocated to Billings, MT where Ma spent the remainder of her childhood, and most of her adult years. Ma attended Billings Senior High and Billings West High.
Ma had her first of 3 sons, Jamey Clayton, on August 1, 1972. Her 2nd, Scott Roscoe, was born October 11, 1976. Brian Evans was born November 10, 1988.
Ma spent much of her time attending her children’s sporting events and school activities. Jamey was a gifted athlete, and played baseball from tee ball through high school. Scott played baseball only til the age of 8, after realizing his potential had peaked early in tee ball. Scott would later start playing hockey in his late teens into adulthood, and Ma attended games when she could. Brian played a few years of baseball and football, before discovering his love for hockey, which he played into high school. Ma always loved to talk about her boys’ activities and the adventures shared through their travels.
Ma enjoyed a variety of hobbies and activities. She would sometimes go to the races at BMP or the drag strip, and enjoyed concerts and local bands, especially when her friends in a band called Blackwater were playing in Billings or nearby. She enjoyed the company of family, especially her grandkids, and close friends, including Jodie Sands of Billings, and Doug Graham of Arizona.
Ma will be accompanied on her next journey by those who preceded her: her beloved father Glenn, her mother Patricia, and many relatives. She is survived by her sons; Brian (Misty) Evans, Scott (April) Roscoe, and Jamey Clayton, all of Billings; grandchildren; Hunter Evans, Austyn and Christian Roscoe, and Ian, Kai, and Kyra Clayton, and numerous other relatives.
Private services and a celebration of Ma’s life will be held at a later time.
