Magdalena, 93, of Billings, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. She was born September 26, 1922, to Fred and Elizabeth Rudolf in Wishek, North Dakota. She grew up on a farm with fourteen brothers and sisters. She had her early education in North Dakota and Montana. The family moved to Montana in 1935.
Magdalena worked at Burtons in Billings, and in the late 1940’s, moved to California where she worked for J.C. Penney’s. She married Ed Fitzgerald in 1972. After he passed, she moved back to Billings to be near family and continued working for Penney’s until she retired.
Magdalena was active in Mayflower Church. She loved music, dancing, playing cards, crafts and being with family and friends.
She is survived by brothers Edwin Rudolf, Tom (Charlotte) Rudolf; sisters Olga Rudolf and Elsie Means; sisters-in-law Marian Rudolf and Evelyn Rudolf, all of Billings. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Ocee Chapel, St. John’s Lutheran Ministries.
