Murwin “Dewayne” Fricks was born on Sept. 29, 1942 to Bonnie and Herbert Fricks in Broken Bow, OK.
On Sept. 17, 1962 he married Pauline Fetch. He worked in the Dickinson area for several years. In the early ’70s, DeWayne began working in the sheet metal industry and the family moved to Billings, Montana, where he resided until his death. He owned and operated Dewayne’s Heating and Cooling until his retirement.
Dewayne loved music and spent many years playing polka music with The Don Roller Band. He and Pauline could frequently be found at area polka festivals.
DeWayne was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, his father, mother, and two of his siblings.
DeWayne is survived by sons, Richard (Theresa) Fetch of Uvalde, TX, Michael (Kathleen) Fetch, of Bridger, and Randy (Lisa) Fricks, of Ballantine. He is also survived by his sister, and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of his life will take place at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 10th, at the Moose Lodge located at 131 Calhoun Lane in Billings, MT. A light lunch will be served.
