Bertha Gernant, 85, of Billings passed away peacefully early Monday morning January 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Bertha was born February 23, 1930 in Lovell, Wyoming to John and Ameila (Bindervoldt) Fink.
Bertha married Vernon Gernant February 15, 1959 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Billings, Montana.
The couple farmed in the Big Horn Basin for many years. After Vernon passed away in 1983 Bertha moved to Greybull, Wyoming.
In 2007 Bertha moved to Billings to be closer to her loving family. She enjoyed many walks at Riverfront Park with her daughters feeding all the wild ducks and geese. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and her seven brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her two daughters Ann and Ellen of Billings and her son Philip ( Tracy) of Columbus and her brother Alfred Fink of Powell. Bertha is also survived by her three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Per Bertha’s request cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday January 28, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Inurnment will be held later in Greybull at Donald J. Ruhl Memorial Cemetery.
