Charles F. Gragert passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the age of 76. Charlie will be greatly missed by countless friends and family. He will be remembered for his kind heart, talkative nature, and his spirit.
Charlie was born in Iuka, Illinois on August 17, 1939 to Rosemary (Michael) and Elmer Gragert. He came to Montana in his early twenties and met the love of his life Sharon. They built a wonderful life together and were married 54 years. Charlie and Sharon had two sons; Mike and Pat, and two grandchildren; Hunter and Jordan, and countless others that he regarded as family. Charlie and Sharon lived in Broadview for about 40 years, before moving to Billings five years ago. They were a huge part of the community. Charlie had a big heart, kind demeanor and loved to meet and talk to people. Although his health was failing him in his later years, he still had plenty of vigor left in him (just ask anyone who argued with him). Charlie was a loving husband, fun grandfather, dear friend and will be surely be missed by all who knew him.
