Draike Austin Grider was born in Billings on January 14, 1996. He fought a courageous fight against Leukemia and lost the battle due to complications on October 2, 2018.
Draike was raised in Billings and graduated from West High School in 2014, where he wrestled for 3 years. He loved fantasy football, was an avid Denver Broncos fan and shared a passion for sprint car racing with his Grandma and Grandpa Grider and Uncle Kyle. Draike took pride in his work at Mint Smart Wash where he was a dedicated employee.
Draike was a kind and gentle soul, with a big heart, who loved his family and was loved by many and will be forever missed. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Grider, his siblings, Ayjsha, Presley, and Trace of Billings and a brother Bronsen Guidice of Minnesota; his grandparents Gary and Kathie Grider and Merilu Jourdan (Bill Wrightson); Uncle Kyle (Cathy) Grider and cousins Maci, Tennyson, and Brecken; Great-grandparents Tom and Joyce Rademaker; Uncles Tyler (Tina) Guidice, Todd (Christie) Jourdan, Jourdan (Jessica Cozzens) Guidice; Aaron (Daniell) Guidice; and cousins Logan, Sydney, Nelson, Xander, Russell, Owen Julia, and Hudson; plus a large extended family. Draike leaves behind his one and only Kayla Larson and just celebrated their 3rd anniversary together. We can’t forget his favorite fur buddies, Pretty Kitty and Obie.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ryan Guidice, and great Grandparents Russell and Gloria Jourdan.
The family is humbled by the outpouring of support they have received and wish to thank each and every one of you as they couldn’t have made it without your kindness. In addition, a special thanks goes out to all of the St. Vincent hospital staff, special nurse Brooke Forsythe and Dr. Cobb, as well as the staff at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA.
You will be forever in our hearts Draike!
