Linda Jane Hinkle, 79, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Billing Clinic surrounded by her family.
Linda was born on August 20, 1940, in Rapid City, South Dakota to Donald and Murriel (McClellan) Stone. She moved with her parents to the Billings area in 1943 and attended high school in Shepard, MT.
She married Edward A. Templin in 1957 and they had a daughter, Kimberly. They later divorced, and Linda then met the love of her life, George R. Hinkle, and they were married on May 29, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Linda worked for Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch Foundation as head of their Memorial Department for over 25 years, until her retirement in 1992. For the next 13 years, she and George traveled south for the winters, living in Parker, Arizona and Big River, California. They returned to Billings, Montana full-time in May 2005. Linda enjoyed reading, trap shooting, traveling, and spending time with her family and all of their many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Tescher (John), Granddaughters, Lacy Evans, Brittany Evans, Rylee Ricci (Jim), Erin Wheeler (Tyler) and three Great Grandchildren, Vincent, Sterling and Grace Ricci.

A Memorial Service will be held at Faith Chapel in Billings (Broadwater Entrance) on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the service.
