On January 25, 2020 Herb Hollenbeck was called home by God to go on the fishing trip of a lifetime.

Herb was born on April 9, 1934 to Wilbur Hollenbeck and Clara Hoffman.  He grew up in Marmath, North Dakota.  He was the oldest of three children: Herb, Jean, and Jim.  In 1951 he entered the Army, where he served for 3 years.  After the military he moved to Hardin where he met his wife Doris.  There were married in 1965 and raised 6 children and several foster children.  Herb was a well-known mechanic in Hardin.  He was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

The family would like to thank St. Vincent Hospital, Compassus Hospice, and the staff at the VA for all of their help.  With a special thank you to Tracy Miller at the VA, and his granddaughter, Taylor Cruz for all of their time and energy in helping him have such good quality of life this in this last year.
