Daniel Dean Kilbride passed away on May 28, 2018 at the Tender Nest Assisted Living in Billings, MT.

He was born on April 28, 1927 to Daniel Felix and Josephine (Walker) Kilbride in Bozeman, MT. Dan graduated from Gallatin County High School in 1945. He was captain of his high school football team and was proud of this all his life. Dan served in the Navy during WWII. He enrolled in the Montana State College in Bozeman and graduated from the University of Montana, Missoula in 1951. He worked for Nash Davis Machinery Co selling Caterpillar heavy equipment where he was a top salesman. Dan met the love of his life, Billie Jean Tyrrell, on a blind date in 1953. They married 6 months later and remained happily married for 65 years. Dan became a stockbroker in 1962 and started his career with Piper, Jaffray & Hopwood. He ended his career in his own office: Dan Kilbride Investments; retiring in 1989.

Dan was very successful at all his jobs because he was so conscientious and wanted to do right. Dan was a man’s man who was looked up to and admired by many people. Over the years he enjoyed his time as captain of the Billings Boat Club, life master member of the Elks Club and coached Golden Gloves Boxing. In his later years he excelled in pool playing and was involved with VFW Fraternity League.

He is survived by his wife: Billie Jean (Tyrrell) Kilbride; his brother: Richard Lee Kilbride (Dennis); children: Kathleen C, Splittstoesser (Jim), Karen G. Gaudet (George) and Daniel T. Kilbride (Ruth); grandchildren: Jacqueline Gaudet, Patrick Dooley, Michael R. Dooley (Marg), Kayla Rae Kilbride, Tara C. Dumas and Daniel K. Kilbride; great-grandchildren: Neal Patrick Dumas, Dalanie Nyman and one soon to be born.
