Adonna Ruth (Clement) Kimmel

Adonna was born in Duluth, MN on August 26, 1932, to parents Henry Ames Clement & Ruth Mable Olsson. She died on June 20, 2019, in Laurel, MT. Adonna attended Stanbrook Hall in Duluth, MN, graduating in 1950, and then moved to Billings, MT along with her parents and younger siblings. She met her future husband, Army Lt. Cleve C. Kimmel, in 1953, and was married on October 23, 1954 in St. Patrick’s Cathedral – Billings, MT. After her husband’s service in the Korean War was completed, they moved to Torrance, CA. They had four children, Darryl, Nancy & Richard (twins), and Victor. To further her career, Adonna completed several-years of medical training, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. Her specialty was OBGYN; and was certified for that specialty in both CA and MT. She retired from South Coast Medical Facility in 1993, at which time she and her husband returned to Montana.

In CA, Adonna joined the South Coast Mother or Twin’s club, and held all offices through Delegate to National Meetings. She was Co-Chair for a massive and successful multi-million dollar fund raising effort established to construct a world-class music hall in Orange County, CA. She was PTA President for the founding of Dana Point High School, in CA. In Billings, Adonna was a volunteer for the Moss Mansion activities, until personal medical challenged became too much to handle. She had received numerous awards and notices of excellence through her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four of her siblings (John, Charles, Malcolm, and Jacqueline), and son Richard.
