Beverly Ann Kolpin, 85, of Billings died on September 2, 2019, at home of natural causes.
She was born July 17, 1934, to Florence (Todd) and Joseph Christensen in Woonsocket, South Dakota. She grew up in a family with six sisters and two brothers and was third from the youngest.
Beverly attended grade school in Solway, Minnesota, high school in Oakland, Iowa, and attended Bemidji State Teachers College in northern Minnesota.
On May 29, 1954, Beverly married Normond Kolpin in Oakland, Iowa. They were married for 58 years before Norm passed away in 2012. They raised three sons, Norm Jr., Jeffrey, and Gregg, and one daughter, Penni.
Norm Sr. worked his entire career for the railroad and the family moved between Illinois, Washington, and Minnesota before moving to Billings in June, 1975. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church for 44 years.
Over the years, she enjoyed traveling with her family and being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norm; her son, Jeff; her brothers Marvin and Alwin, and five of her six sisters; June, Virginia, Eunice, Delores and Mary Joe.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Cunningham of Muscatine, Iowa; her sons, Norm Jr. (Manuela) of San Jose, California, and Gregg of Billings; her daughter, Penni, of Bozeman; her eight grandchildren, Russell, Raymond, Leanne, Jennifer, Ana, John, Max and Abbey, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 7, at 1 pm. Memorials can be made to the Billings Hub Drop-In Center or the Montana Rescue Mission.
