Janice Irene Machipiness was born January 24, 1950 to Alex and Marion (Peltier) Machipiness in Belcourt, ND. She lay peacefully and rested at her bedside was brother, Stanley, nieces, and nephew until she entered into eternal rest.
Janice was a phenomenal and faithful friend; she was respected by those who knew her best. She was a loving sister and aunt. She will be missed by those who had the opportunity to meet her and her family whom she loved unconditionally. She entered into rest on October 11, 2018 at the age of 68 in the Billings Clinic Hospital, Billings, MT. She was a high school graduate and entered the army shortly thereafter. Janice was an Army Veteran with an honorable discharge on September 19, 1980. She was a member of the American Legion and received recognition in gratitude for her wartime service. She worked at the Bureau of Land Management for 28 years before retiring in 2009. Janice had a total of 35 years, 9 months and 20 days of federal service. On December 13, 2003 she was recognized for her years of service to the Government of the United States of America. Her dedication to family, friends, and federal service was admirable and loyal.
She leaves her brother, Stanley Machipiness of Grand Forks, ND and has numerous nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Marion (Peltier) and Alex Machipiness; Brothers: Edward Machipiness, Francis Machipiness, Leslie Machipiness, Michael Machipiness, Alexis Machipiness; Sisters: Adaline Day, Susan Boyer and Angel Brown; Companion, Sandra Venta.
A memorial will be held in the spring of 2019. Her wish was to be cremated with ashes spread amongst her loving mother (Marion) and baby sister Sue (Chicken).
