Robert Thomas Myers, Sr. (RT), son of John and Hazel Myers was born December 10, 1953 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. RT grew up on the family farm in Emigrant, MT, working alongside his uncles. Shortly after graduating from high school, RT enlisted in the Army. He would later go on to fight in Vietnam. While awaiting his orders, he took classes at the local college and received a degree in business before shipping out. RT returned from Vietnam and proceeded to have three children: Jeff, Elizabeth, and Jennifer. He ended up settling down in Acton, MT and shortly after he married Sherry Denise Bennett on June 29, 1996 in Billings. The two would have a single child, Robert Thomas Myers, Jr. (Bobby) whom they would raise in Acton until RT’s passing. Throughout most of his life, RT was well known for being a very good truck driver, which he backed up by driving for over 45 years and 5 million miles. A short while after retiring, RT passed away on May 20, 2019 in his home, where he wanted to be. He will be remembered as a caring father and loving husband who worked as hard as he could to make sure his family was taken care of, through much pain at times.
Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday May 25, 2019 at the Broadview Community Center.
