Jo Ann Pace, 84, went to be with her heavenly Father in the early hours on October 3, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.

Jo Ann was born in Elgin, ND to Anton and Rose Schaff on June 28, 1934. She was one of twelve children and learned the value of family from an early age. She graduated from Moccasin High School and worked at First National Bank in Lewistown. She met her husband, Robert (Bob), at a dance and they were married on September 1, 1956. Jo Ann loved her family above all things and spent every moment she could with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She enjoyed playing cards, watching Jeopardy and old movies, reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and collecting anything blue. She loved the beach, cooking and baking, chocolate, flowers, and her grand-dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Pace; son Rob (Pam) Pace and their children, Allie (Matt) Hein and a future great-grandchild, and Mackenzy Pace of Billings, MT; daughter Mici (Larry) Stenersen and their sons, Kyle and Bryon Stenersen and Kyle’s son Asher of McMinnville, OR; son Chuck Pace of Billings, MT; son Brook (Jamie) Pace of Billings, MT; and daughter-in-law Carla Pace and her son, Daniel Pace of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by three of her siblings: Margaret Scott, Victor (Nancy) Schaff, and Kenny (Carol) Schaff. She is preceded in death by her son, Tracy Pace, her parents, and eight siblings.

Jo Ann’s celebration of life will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Billings on Monday, October 8th, at 10 a.m. Following Mass, Jo’s family invites all to join for a luncheon at the church and an internment at Ballentine Cemetery.
