Our beloved Mom, Ardis Joy Patch took her Savior’s hand & entered her eternal home on February 13, 2019. She was born May 5, 1933 in Fairfield, MT to Theodore & Esther Hundtofte, the 3rd of nine children.  Her family moved to the Brorson area outside of Sidney & Ardis graduated from Sidney High School. After HS, she was employed by T&E in Sidney where she met her handsome future husband Wendell Patch.

They were married in 1955 at Pella Lutheran Church in Sidney.  They loved each other for 56 years until Wendell passed in 2011. They had 6 children:

David (Mim), Debbie Schoeppe (Bob), Nancy Sasse (Don), Kevin (Linda), Judy Brazell (Kevin) and infant son, Kendall.

In 1974, the Patch Family moved to Billings.  Mom enjoyed baking & was a wonderful cook. She had her own cake decorating business for many years.  She made delicious Danish pastries & coffee cakes.  Ardis loved to host family gatherings & have dear friends over for coffee, always setting a beautiful & inviting table.  Mom truly enjoyed staying in touch with friends & family via the phone. Mom also loved photographs & took thousands of pictures.  To that end, she worked with Creative Memories in their early years as a Consultant, becoming an advocate for preserving family photos for future generations.

Mom had a beautiful sweet nature about her, becoming sweeter with each passing day. We dearly miss her but know she is in Heaven & we will see her again.

She is survived by her 5 children and 7 grandchildren: Laura Thomas (Nathan), Katie Patch, Larissa Brue (Hans), Cooper Patch, Parker Sasse, Brooke & Ellie Brazell, and 5 great-grandchildren: Baily & Noah Thomas, Alessia & Ayla Patch, Kit Brue.

Her surviving siblings are Palmer Hundtofte (Lois), Virgil Hundtofte (Mildred), Verner (Martha), Anna Phipps (Bob), Audrey Herman (Allen) and Joann Larsen (Ernie), and 2 beloved sisters-in-law:  Irene Hundtofte & Sharon Hundtofte.

She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Rueben & Leo, her husband Wendell, infant son, Kendall, and grandson Jake Patch.

Ardis resided at St. Johns Lutheran Home for the last 6 years.  She loved the staff & we are grateful for their tender care on her behalf.

Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church or St. Johns Foundation.
