Margie Dorthy Halverson Pemble Passed away November 2, 2017.
Marge was born November 5, 1928, twenty minutes before her identical twin sister Maxine, to Clara and Harvey Halverson. She grew up on the Harvey Halverson Homestead near Rapelje, Montana. In 1933 they all moved to a farm in Belgrade, Montana.
After graduating from Belgrade High School in 1946, she entered nursing school at Montana State University. She graduated as a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Marge married Charles J Pemble in 1951. They moved to Billings Montana where Marge worked in the operating room of the Deaconess Hospital for thirty four years. The last fifteen years she was a member of the pioneer open-heart surgery team of Montana.
After retirement in 1985, Marge and Chuck enjoyed spending time at their summer home on Ashley Lake near Kalispell, Montana. She had many collections and hobbies, including painting beautiful landscapes.
Her parents, three of her siblings, a grandson Zachary, and her husband Charles all preceded her in death. She is survived by her older sister Lorraine and twin sister Maxine; daughter Leslie Gaylord (Larry), grandson Jacob and granddaughter Larissa, and great-granddaughter Dahlia; daughter Lynn Morgan (Ken), three grandsons Ryan, Bradley and Eric, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Marge was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Billings. Her proudest volunteer job was being Parish Nurse.
Memorial Services will be July 7, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Billings at 11 a.m. with a light lunch served afterward.
A Second Memorial Service will be held July 14, 2018 at Fairview Chapel, Columbia Falls, Montana at 11 a.m. with a light lunch served afterward.
