Arlene Katherine Steffes

Arlene K. Steffes was born on Jan. 1, 1932 to Edgar Boucher and Evelyne (Trudo) Boucher. She married Joseph M. Steffes in 1949, born to this union were six children. They owned multiple businesses and went on many adventures together. They were the best parents any child could ask for.

Arlene’s motto in life was family first. Her legacy leaves six children: Deb Vanderpan (Dewey) Allen, Brenda (Steve) Zimmerer, Bernadette (Jim) Blaylock, Stephanie Stanek-Fischer, Joe Marty (Margaret) Steffes, and Tiffani Moe-Sherman. The Joy of her life were her 20 grandchildren: Vance (Jess) Vanderpan; Angela, Andrea, Jason and Aimee Allen; Zachariah (Suzanne) Zimmerer, Zabrina (David) Johal, Zainya Zimmerer, and Zahrah Zimmerer; Audry (Bo) Bourne, Josh Stanek, Keenan Stanek; Shala Steffes, Joe Miles (Katie) Steffes; Mason Moe, Peyton Moe; Kerry Sherman, Sydne (Garrett) Visser and many great grandchildren.

She is survived by her dear friend Jim Peterson; her two siblings Lawrence (Connie) Boucher and Rosezella Bohl; and her in-laws Lawrence Schaefer and Tammy Boucher.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, her parents, her grandchildren Lance Vanderpan and Chase Blaylock, her brother Walter Boucher and sister Donnetta Schaefer.

She is dancing her way into heaven and playing cards as she did here on earth. The world will never be the same, we will miss you.

Arlene’s life will be celebrated at the Heights VFW at 637 Anchor Ave on Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Family Support Network 1002 10th St. W.
