Gerald “Jerry” Henry Sullivan, Sr., 88, of Billings, Montana, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings.

Jerry was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota on July 2, 1930, to Joseph John and Alyce Helen (nee Theisen) Sullivan; the second oldest of 10 boys. He attended Billings Elementary School and Central High School in Superior, Wisconsin.

On August 16, 1952, Jerry and his sweetheart, Patricia Anne Conner, were married in Superior, Wisconsin. They raised four children: Gerald (Jr.), Kathleen, Brian, and Patrick. For the majority of his working life he worked as an operator at the Conoco Oil Refineries in Wrenshall, Minnesota, and Billings. Of his many hobbies, fly fishing and golf were Jerry’s favorites. He also enjoyed hunting, watching hockey and playing cribbage.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Alyce Sullivan; brothers: Tommy, Larry, Danny, and Donald; and a grandson Justin Allen Lundorff.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Anne (nee Conner) Sullivan; children: Gerald H. “Kip” (Claudia) Sullivan Jr., of Hugo, Minnesota, Kathleen A. (Tim) Zigweid of Billings, Brian W. (Anna) Sullivan of Lakewood, Washington, and Patrick J. (Mary) Sullivan of Montana City, Montana; brothers: Jack and Charlie Sullivan of Duluth, Minnesota, David Sullivan of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Bob and Nick Sullivan of Superior, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

With the help of his family, friends, and the staff at WestPark Village Retirement Community, Jerry demonstrated great courage, determination and strength during his five year battle with Parkinson’s disease.  In lieu of flowers or a memorial in Jerry’s name, the family asks that you instead make a donation to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.  To fulfill Jerry’s wish, no services will be held.
