Jean W. Taylor
• b. March 31, 1926, Columbus, Ohio
• d. November 24, 2019, Billings MT, age 93 years and 8 months
• Married John R. Taylor, September 17, 1946, at 20 years of age.
Jean grew up mainly in Huntington, West Virginia, where her father made custom men’s suits and her mother made women’s hats. She was an only child.
She worked for years in retail and in secretarial positions, all the time pursuing her education one class at a time. Jean had a strong interest in the arts and finally, in 1974, she graduated with a four-year college degree from Rocky Mountain College in that field.
Her favorite job was as manager and buyer for the home furnishings department at Hart-Albin department store in Billings. Her business experience and good taste contributed to her success there.
Jean passed away peacefully and quickly. Her husband of 73 years, John, passed away about three months before her.
Jean is survived by her sons Mark (and Rosanna Buehl) and Chuck (and Begoña Kendall), her daughter Lisa (and Dennis Meeker), grandson Ambrose (and Julie Christian), great-granddaughter Kylie, and great-grandson, AJ.
