Richard Allen Turner, 75, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on June 13, 2019 in Billings, MT.
Richard was born August 7, 1943 in Milford Massachusetts to Harold and Winnifred Turner, the eldest of 3 sons.
He enlisted in the army and was a SGT E5. He served in Vietnam and Germany and retired after 20 years of service. He received numerous medals, including the Citations Cross of Gallantry, and 2 service medals for serving in Vietnam.
Richard enjoyed his retirement with several trips on the senior busses. He loved camping, mustang games, little league games and all animals.
He took great pride in all his jobs and had several special friends at the Gas n Go. Special thanks to all the staff there for all their help.
A very special thanks goes to Lisa Cross for taking care of Richard at home.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Lynda. He is survived by his brothers David (Barbara) Turner of Springhill, FL and Chuck (Suki) Turner or El Paso, TX; James (Louise) Stensland of Billings; numerous nieces and nephews; and April Cross-Davis.
Richard will be remembered as a good friend and great uncle.
Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 P.M. Monday June 17, 2019 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Cremation & Funeral Gallery. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
