Violet Margarette Vick, age 89, passed away March 16, 2020 in Billings. She was a charter member of Modern Mrs. Club, and Par 3 Golf Association Club. She was also a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Townsend, Montana and Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Billings. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved to travel, bowl, play golf and tennis, and tend to her flower garden.
She was born in Grassy Butte, North Dakota, daughter of John and Zena Zevik Stashuk. Her father died when she was 3, and the family moved to Watford City, ND where she was educated. On July 12, 1951 she married James A. Vick. They moved to Montana, and wintered in Arizona after retirement
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, James. Survivors include 2 daughters: Nancy (Mike) Egeland, of Montana; and Susan Welch of California. She also leaves behind 1 sister: Agnes of Washington; 3 half brothers: Frank, Roger, and Lawrence; brother in law Harvey Thompson; sisters in law Patty Vick, Joan Vick, and Margie and Dallas Nelson, Ken and Ruth Vick, and 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and services and burial will be held at a later date.
